Goal setting.
In my opinion, it's the single most important thing that any leader could ever teach their employees. I also think it's one of the most misunderstood processes in the world. I feel like people think that if they read a book on goal setting...they know how to set goals. If they set one goal, and they reach it, they think they've learned all they need to know about goal setting. Honestly, most people are confused about the process.
Why?
Because they don't understand that goal setting is absolutely life-changing. If you know how to do it, you can share it with others. If you share it with others, you will have impacted their life. If you teach it to your children, you will have given them one of the best gifts in the world. Goals really do matter. Setting them matters. Knowing how to achieve them matters. Giving your employees a gift that shows them you truly care about them and the next five years of their life matters.
